Working Group - City Logistics Exchange

As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance city logistics and streamline freight movement, we are reaching out to companies which are delivering to Luxembourg City. City logistics presents multifaceted challenges, including traffic congestion, last-mile delivery efficiency and environmental impacts. Many transport companies, including Cluster Members, face problems delivering to Luxembourg City. Often stated challenges include: shop opening hours (delivery window closes when shops are opening, at 10h00), scarcity of delivery parking spots.

Given this situation, we would like to invite your company to a working group session to discuss and collect the issues and challenges arising around city logistics in Luxembourg City. This working group aims at understanding the current problems from different perspectives. The outcome of this working group session will provide the input for further meetings and lobbying efforts of the Cluster.

Laura Palacios-Argüello, Research Scientist at the Luxembourg Centre for Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LCL) will facilitate and guide the discussion. Her research focuses on freight transportation, supply chain and logistics, urban logistics, and sustainability, with strong emphasis on practical and policy-driven initiatives aimed at advancing sustainable urban freight systems. She is research affiliate to the MIT Sustainable Supply Chain Lab.
